It is a dance of courtship but it is as simple as the Almanac. None of this duet need have any folk material unless you see fit. I keep thinking of various parts of your music, Aaron. There is the unforgettable quiet part of the LINCOLN work that is so beautifully woven on the loom of this country without seeming to use folk material. It gives me the feeling that I hear it.
