T
he Man enters who is called the CITIZEN. (We
may find a better name for him later.) He is an
American Man. He has a certain raw-boned grace
about him, as well as an awkward beauty of bone. He is a
man who fights when he does not like to fight, simply because
he knows he must do so to bring about the things in which he
believes. Aaron, I wish this could have some of the quality of
the Thoreau journals, simple and straight and possessed
of some of the magic of the everyday.
